Identical readings for alternator and battery volts.

PC software show identical values for Volts on alternator and battery even though rec bms reports 0.3v lower voltage on battery. Anyone else here experienced this? I have checked the cabling and it is correct with a yellow stripe to batt sens. I have rec bms and shunt mounted on the dynamo, all with the latest firmware.
